Wow, it’s hard to believe that we are already almost one month down in 2025! It’s been a fast and furious one around here with my boys getting back off to their colleges, my daughter’s basketball and dairy judging continuing on and and added “senior assassins” game which involves, goggles, waterguns, and her whole senior class of about 40 students. So many good things I am trying to be present for, because I don’t want to miss any of it. Truly thankful for these sweet times with my kids!
And there is A LOT happening in my shop right now, both in actual activity and planning! March 1 I will be holding my first beginner class for our local area and I cannot wait! We will be making a little card wallet and learning some new skills like finishing edges, hand sewing, coloring leather, and executing a project. So far we are about half full, so the class WILL happen, and I couldn’t be more excited for it! In the meantime, I need to clean and rearrange the shop to make it more ready for a class and make a trip to Waco for supplies, as well as put some kits together for each student. I am truly excited to see where this could lead!
Also, the week of March 31 I will be adding a very big new piece of equipment to the shop, which I am hoping will open up a lot of new doors and opportunities! I don’t want to spill it just yet, but I will say, it feels like a BIG deal, and I can’t wait to share more soon!
In the meantime….I’m making bags, graduation cap toppers, belts, and of course, trying to gather tax stuff, as has to be done this time of year. Some of these tasks are far more fun than others, but its all part of it I guess!
